Wanted: I want a non-shedding dog for Autistic son in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan

Hi, my son is Autistic(He is adult in size and Super gentle, not rough) and misses his old dog badly(she died at age 21+). Due to alergies, etc., we are looking for "non-shedding"(preferably sm to med in size). He wants a dog like the one he had a " Black Mini/Toy Poodle(or poodle cross/as long as they "look" like a poodle". We do "not" have a fenced back yard so need a small to med dog that can live in our house, and put up with our 2 cats(my babies). "Black prefered".

I've learned the hard way "no puppies", we were/it was suggested to find something around "3yrs or a little older", and must be already "house trained", and there is only "myself, and my 18yr old Autistic son, and 2 cats", but we can gaurantee a "gooooooood home". One of our local vets is always phoning me when they need someone to take a dog because "he" knows it would have a Good Home.

PS: I'm not sure what the "date of birth" is for above, but hopefully it means "age of dog" which is what I'm asking for "3yrs or slightly older".
